Paul Ellen brings more than 19 years of broad-based experience in consumer, corporate, hospitality, retail and sports marketing experience to creating and executing results-based marketing communications programs.  His areas of expertise include integrated marketing communications, sports and events marketing, corporate identity and image management, crisis communications, strategic planning, media training, sales enhancement and sponsorship leverage.

As senior vice president for consumer brands and corporate services at Duffey Communications, Ellen managed an integrated marketing communications program for the brand repositioning of Kinko’s.  He also managed development of a national branding program for CenturyTel, and communications programs for such companies as Morgan-Stanley, Progressive Insurance and Career Sports Management. 

Prior to joining Duffey, Ellen served as vice president and group manager of consumer services at Cohn & Wolfe, where he directed and managed campaigns for clients such as Courtyard by Marriott, Chick-fil-A, Sprite, The Home Depot, and the College Football Bowl Association.

Ellen’s success stories also include promotional, event and publicity initiatives for Turner Broadcasting System/Goodwill Games, Coca-Cola, Hilton Hotels Corporation, NFL Properties and Players, Inc. 

Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, Ellen was general manager/network director for Auburn Broadcasting and the Auburn University Sports Network where he managed and coordinated sales for the 84-station radio network.  His efforts resulted in a 67 percent increase in network billings over a three-year period.

Also at Auburn, Ellen served as a radio and TV editor for the Department of University Relations.  He handled broadcast and audio/visual needs for Auburn University administration, as well as the Athletics Department and the Alabama Cooperative Extension Service.  His efforts generated two national awards from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). 

He maintains his post with the Auburn University Football Radio Network, as host of pre- and post- game programs during football season each year.

Ellen was graduated from Auburn University with a degree in speech communications.  He completed some graduate course work in sports management at Georgia State University.
